Anterless damage permit Twisp Winthrop
« on: September 28, 2009, 12:30:45 PM »
Hey Guys and Gals,

I just wanted to through this out there. I have an anterless (2nd deer) tag that I need to fill on private property in Twisp/Winthrop area, which is valid for about 2 more weeks.  I will be over there shortly and wanted to see if any locals would like for me to remove one of these doe that may be eatin the wifes flowers.  :chuckle:

I will be hunting my dads property over there to help fill this (had several chances last weekend, but was using a bow and brush saved this one doe, while dogs ran off the other), so I will be able to fill it one way or another.

Just thought I would ask. The permit is for Modern Firearm, but I have been using my bow. There would be some bear pep sticks and or summer sausage to sweeten the deal. I have a place to stay so I wouldnt be campin on your property, etc.

Thanks!

Douglas~

My neighbor just got back...2 hour hunt all said and done.  tons of does in and around orchards during the evening hours.  Sounds like there are plenty of landowners more than happy to host an ethical hunter.  Good Luck!

If I would have used my rifle, it would have been done the first two hours of light...but I had my bow.. ;)

I am confident I will get it filled either at my dads or otherwise... Thanks for the well wishes.

I really want some white tail meat again!

I got drawn for that tag before it took your points away and contacted Larry Surface.  He has a small alfalfa field off of Twisp-Carlton loop Rd. Its on Surface RD.  Both my father and I took deer out of his field. He is a super nice guy.  I don't have his number anymore but you should be able to look it up.  Good Luck

Thanks Bone. I really think I will be able to fill it on dads property, but I just wanted some other options, just in case.  ;)
