Oxbow aspens
« on: October 07, 2009, 10:35:29 PM »
While we weren't distracted by elk, this was some of what we saw.  We actually waited around for four hours on this morning for the sun to hit the row of aspens in front of us.  As we waited we had several people come over to where we were set up and ask, "what are you looking at?"  Huh????

Thanks! Aspens are one of my Favorite things to look at!!! I especially LOVE looking at bear climb/claw marks in them.... but the fall foliage is spectacular too....

I love taking photos at that spot Doug.  Here are a few of mine to add to your thread.  When I took photos of that spot 2 days later, I didn't get anything good so I won't post them...lol.

Thanks.  I like the angle you shot it at Doug.  I have never shot from there and have always included the water but on days when you don't get a reflection due to the wind I never know what to do.  Move closer and cut the water out and it makes for a good photo.

Did you get out to mormon row?  I did but the bluebird photography distracted me to where I got no landscape shots...   :chuckle:

We drove by on a "blue bird day" but didn't stop, it was a little late and like rush for NY subway, if you know what I mean.  So, no barn photos.  And I have to say, try as I might I didn't get any mtn bluebird shots!!!   :'(  Good for you though.
