Got my Peola "A" bull back in 1992. Nice 6x6 at 311 4/8 near Scoggin Ridge. Much has changed since then but the memories are still fresh and vivid!Lot's of private land near there and back then getting permission by a clean-cut active duty military guy wasn't hard. (Thanks George!).Good luck fellow hunters !
did you get it on land or on the ridge now most of that is owned by a big wig from Spokane and he doesn't give any permission he just lets all his unethical buddies hunt it our land buts up to his, we had a chance at a couple spikes afew years back until they shot at the heard from across the canyon ( 800 yards at least )! your right it has changed up there the fire did it no good the deer hunting is terrible now the elk are still there though!
where do these new owners own? my inlaws live on alpowa ridge on the pataha creek side on sweeney gulch. we hunt a bunch of private around there. there's been more and more elk down lower every year.

IF you are that close to pataha creek come opening morning of elk pm me and I might show you what I'm talking about I have the system figured out ALMOST I can't get the spikes to do what all the others do! P.S. DO you know what the Pomeroy land owners is I seen a lot of signs on the east side of Sweeney to knotgrass rd? got thought I would ask.
