Attractant at trail cam?
« on: September 30, 2009, 08:15:30 AM »
What are you guys using as an attractant at your cams or do you just set up on well used trails?  I am currently not using any cams right now but I am seriously thinking about picking up a few.  Thanks

Corn works well. Also salt licks work, but are easy for other hunters to find. the powder form of Come here deer works really well. Always good to slow them down for a good pic.

Alfalfa works great as well as a molases block.  Deer and Elk love them!

Depends on what side of the state you are on.  Apples work everywhere but blacktails seem to not care for alfalfa or grain.

this works OK year round but especially this time of year.........

Just pee on the ground infront of the camera.

Never tried girl pee :dunno:

I can tell you this, while setting up a cam my son and I peed in two different spots. The deer ignored his puddle but were digging holes where I left mine.

Boy yours must be foul as the deer was trying to remove the tainted soil!! :chuckle:

Hey, whatever works. If anyone would like to try some I could send a 12oz. sample for just the cost of shipping. Nevermind the Bud label on the bottle :bdid:?

I tried the Deer Cane black magic.  Left my cam out for a week and got nothing  :dunno:  My buddie had his right down the trail with apples and got a couple deer and a nice 5x5 rosie.
