Inverness Kennels (GWP)
« on: September 30, 2009, 10:24:05 AM »
Does anyone have any experience with Inverness Kennels in Snohomish?  They are a German Wirehaired Pointer breeder.  Looking into possibly getting a pup from one of their upcoming litters and was just curious if anyone knew anything about this particular breeder.

No, but isn't that th elast name of the radical that was on here that thought he was part wolf.  I know he loved canines.  hmmmm  wonder if they are related.

I spoke with them a while back but don't know much other than they sounded to be good people. I believe they were in to the shows as well, but I did talk to a lot of breeders so I could be confused. Not to say showing is bad but I have had a bad experience with the part show part hunt lines and next time it will be all hunt all the time.

Is Iverness Kennels run by Aloysia Hard? If so she is a great person. I had a chance to talk to her at one of the Puyallup Sportsmens shows and she is the real deal. Likes to hunt not just show her dogs. From what I could gather she is very selective about who becomes an owner of her pups. She wants them to go to a home where they will be used for how they have been bred.

Whoops, Aloysia Hard owns Piemonte Kennels. Not sure about Iverness then. Iverness' home page looks great, but I could not get any further than that.

I have a dog from Inverness Kennels.  Jack and Laura Myles are the owners/breeders.  My dog is wonderful, well tempered, and very smart.  I have a 3 yo son and a 7 month old daughter, and besides the fact she (dog) is just a bundle of muscle and energy, she is as gentle with those kids as if they were her own.  My wife shows dogs for a hobby, and she also shows very well.  They also hunt there dogs regularly, and are very willing to help train.  PM me if you have any questions.

Oh yeah, if you want a serious hunting dog, and like the looks/abilities of a GWP, talk to Lee Root about a DD.  I know that when I have time for training another dog, I will patiently wait until I can get one from him.
