finally made time to go out on a stand today, i saw lots of dogs but this is the only one that presented a shot opportunity for me, 24 degrees all day with complete frost. this one came in with 2 other dogs side by side, they stopped at 600 yards and this is the only one that came in to about 75 yards and i put the smack down on him. add another for team lamar

Today I shot an old timer.....

I've been after him for awhile as he was making a mess of a calf carcass the last few days.  I'm usually not afraid to touch too many critters, I don't worry about "jerms" so to speak.....but this boy was the exception.  He looked black in the scope and on walking up to him seeing his back side, first thing I thought was a possible parvo dog....hence the sign I made vs a pic with me in it.

Here are a few pics of his front teeth, you don't see em like this too often.

Anyway, one more for Team Lamar....

Boy, I would love that. We hunted all day today and didn't call any in. I really hate a Full moon, unless it's at the state line.  :chuckle:

Damn it Big10.............you're supposed to be elk hunting!!!

I had one hold up at 359 yards....I let him go, figured I'd get him next time, wind was blowing pretty hard left to right.  Problem is I used every trick in the book and he wouldn't come in any further...

Guess I need a new book.    :dunno:
