I guess I'm feeling a little better. I took a hunt-wa member with me to call some yotes and had ZERO responses to howling and NOTHING coming to a distress call. Everything look and felt like it would be hot but it was dead. We did SEE a lot of yotes but as far as calling went......no dice.
We did get two though....one each.
Two more for Team Lamar.

Yotehunter and I went out yesterday morning for a bit. We watched this one work it's way in to about 25 yds when she decided something wasn't quite right and turned to leave. Yotehunter was set up in the wrong direction so I took the shot at 30 yds. We were only calling for a few minutes so we decided to stay put and see what happens. About five minutes later another one starts in on the exact same track as the first one. This one turns tail at 200 yds and is gone. We think it may have seen the dead one and got spooked.

Big10 and I had a very tough day. We put up with wind, fog, rain and some sun, throughout the day. On the 8th set of the day this female came running in from my left straight to the bush where the foxpro was setting, 20 yards away. She stopped, put her front paws on the bush and started bitting at the caller. I made a move to get a shot, she must have heard me and started to leave, but stopped at 50 yards.
Since we have to flip the dogs over, here are pic's of both sides.

It's been a bit of a dry spell....seems not just for me but for most of us. I passed up on a dog earlier this week and never saw him again. Then this afternoon I found a mangy male that passed away at about 140 yards.
One more for Team Lamar!
Good luck to everyone going out tomorrow!
