Nice goin guys!  Good to see you on here again Lamar Hunter.

Big10,
What the hell is that white stuff you got around there?  I forgot what that looked like.  Swag and I went out today, I'll let him give the details.  We had some fantastic stands and would have little to show had Swag not literally taken over 100 pictures today.  It was a damn photo safari by the time we were thru.  I think that camera has 3 shot bursts on it or something.... :chuckle:.  I'll share more later.

 :lol4:

That cracked me up!!!

I don't think I stretch any stories.  I misses a "clean up" dog AFTER Swag missed.  I held a foot high and lead it about 3.5 feet and saw the bullet hit about 3 feet short.  It didn't look that far......I missed a second dog that I shouldn't have, just flat out pulled it.  But got him on a follow up.  AND.....I missed one more that was a runner.  FYI, don't believe any BS story you may hear about a dog looking at "someone" at 10 feet, and him waiting for me to take the shot (on a dog I didn't see)

lol.....

Brokenhand smoked two today.  He had to wait for them to stop mingling with the cows before he got a shot, 90 yard and 40 yards.  :)

                                                          Gringo31

Well lets just say aside from the company, :iamwithstupid: it was an awesome morning of hunting, this is probably the best morning of hunting we have had in a while. On the second set of the morning we set up in perfact position over looking a canyon with the sun at out backs, no wind.  Let out one howl, waited, straight into Luckybird. looked down to my left & saw one hard charger headed my way, I didn't even realize when I took the pic that there was 2 others dogs following.

As the first approached, Gringo alerted me to the other 2 dogs witch seemed to hang up at the tree. So I felt sorry for Gringo, potentially not having a shot.  So I figured I would let the first one spook past me & on to him. Unfortunately this dog wanted the luckybird that was 20yrds behind me.

As you can see from the pic, that is the end of the barrel on my 16'' Ar on the right. He was pistol close, he hung around for quite a while, but finally disappeared. Out of the 2 dogs by the tree, one broke & came into the thick stuff.  But I never saw her, until they were headed back out past the tree. They were in a little bit more of an hurry than when they came. Ya Gringo gave me a hard time for not shooting the easy one, but if I would of shot I would have had to listen to him whine about me being a Yote Whore.
:'(
In retrospect I should of shot, but either way that is one of the top 5 stands of all time for me...

That is taking into consideration who I was hunting with................... :chuckle:

We left that stand with an awesome story on a perfact morning in the outdoors, with not one dog....

It did continue to be a great morning, I will update later got to get up early to do it again in the morning.....

Went out this am for just a couple of hours so I could be back for the game. Took a longtime friend out 30+ years hoping to get him a coyote. Well it didn't pan out for him as the coyotes kept popping up on my side. Oh well maybe next time. Got this posted with 2 minutes to spare before game time!!

My wife was Right, I should of stayed in bed today.  Hunted most of the day, nothing would come to the call.  Tried to set up some stalks on a few dogs after spotting them from a distance but I was busted every time.

Spotted this guy on the way to the first stand. So I snuk in about 800yrds to the east of him & started calling, never saw him again.

On the next stand this dog appeared long enough for me to take a couple of pic's & jump up on his hind legs twice.  Then he was gone, not sure what all of the jumping was about.....

Saw the next two on the way into new stands, never had a chance to even lay cross hairs on either of them.

I have to figure out what the heck these yote's want, it isn't a fight, a "Friend", & for some reason they don't want food. :bash:

Back to Saturday. It was a fabulous, "Perfact", except for someone I will leave nameless. As far as that someones comment "Photo Safari". I did need to take several pics due to his driving skill's, just so I can get a least one that will turn out. It vary hard to manage while holding on for dear life, the roads he decides to dive down are the exact opposite of what any normal person would be be willing to subject their kidneys to :o

On the drive in to a stand we jumped these 2 & good old Gringo31 felt obligated to educate them in the art of running much faster. After missing of course... :chuckle:

After making another unsuccessful stand as we were driving to the next it happend again only this time ol Gringo decided that he wouldn't waste the ammo..

The next stand Gringo finally managed to connect..

There was 2 but I didn't see the second until he was way out there.

Know Gringo had some choice thoughts which I happen to agree with, but don't tell my wife she still thinks I yote hunt for the exercise....... :chuckle:

Off to the next stand, along the the way we saw these 2 laying on the side of the hill.  we were going to put the sneak on them but as we were passing they bolted...

When we finally got set up in our last stand & started calling, Ol Gringo with his "Eagle Eyes" alerted me to these three on the hill way across the canyon.

The one on the far left started to head towards us, but got distracted by the other two engaging in some weird behavior... If you look close at the one on the right the third coyote ran towards her and flopped down & rolled over on to his back..  :con: It was a unique experience to see.

We decided we would drive around to the otherside of the canyon to see if we could get an opportunity at them, but no luck.

We decided that it had been a wonderful morn & that we should call it a day, on the way out we spotted these.

The first one was moving so fast we never had a chance, the rest were on ground that we couldn't hunt.  It was a fabulous morning.. :IBCOOL:  All together Gringo shot 1 & missed allot,"to many to count" :ass: we got pics of 18 different dogs, 3 from the previous post & 15 on this post.  Ol Gringo may complain about my "3 shot burst photo safari" but the truth is, other than documenting his misses he doesn't have to worry about me taking the dogs before he dose. ;)
