Rough weather forcasted for Oregon opener.
« on: October 01, 2009, 12:46:25 PM »
Rats! It is gonna Snow/rain at the ranch on the Oregon deer opener. I have all week to hunt so hope some nice weather comes in. I will still hunt in the bad weather and love being out. But sure like days without rain to hunt this time of year! Darn rain fogs up my bino's and scope.

Yeah, that sucks! Nothing worse than cold weather, rain, and chance of snow to screw up a hunt. Pray that the forecast is wrong and that it's sunny and 80 deg. That's REAL hunting weather.  :chuckle:

Well, I got my buck on Saturday, every one else tagged out on Sunday. The weather was perfict for deer on Sunday. Ground was white from snow and not much wind till late afternoon!

What are you talking about money, your complaining about stormy weather for hunting? I pray for that kind of weather when planning on hunting. It doesn't get any better than that.

It was pretty rough Saturday, glad I got my deer early. Sunday was perfict, overcast, 2-5'' snow, and the CRP was layed over limiting hiding spots for deer. The rest of the family tagged out Sunday. This pic was taken at about 4pm Satuday.

Man, I would love having that weather while hunting!  That makes for the best hunting, and funnest hunting in my opinion.  Sorry you didn't like it, congrats on the buck.

It all worked out great for me! I really enjoyed the snow! Was sure easer to find the deer Sunday. I depend on my bino's alot for hunting and hate it when they get foggy!
