First we would like to thank all the guys from this site that we had talked to. Great people.
Well we spent a few days scouting  the area earlier in the month and had a couple nice bulls picked out. We planned on going for 10 days figuring we would call a few in, pass on a few and have a big one or to put the slip on us. Well opening morning we spotted a bull 800 yards off, he got in the thick stuff before we could get a good look. So we started down the road we were on, calling every so often. The area was literally torn up with rubs, pits and tracks. As we neared the end we thought we would head up to the area where we saw the bull at first light, but decided to go a little farther. We came to a spot that that we could see over the edge, as Zack and I started down to look I spotted the tops of his horns, We hit the dirt. Gave a few grunts and waited. Nothing. We then heard the bull going around us toward an old road,so we ran to the road, got set up and, nothing. We moved up the hill and saw him standing on the road about 150 yards out. Got Zack set up and the bull started walking again. We picked up and followed. This went on a few more times and we still hadn't got a real good look at his front yet. We kept saying if he goes back down we are done. That's when he turned and went up through an old cut. We were using bull and cow calls to get him to stop but he kept going. Finally at about 130 yards he stopped and looked. Good fronts, width and palms. Zack shoots and hits him a little high, the bull turns facing us and Zack shoots him in the chest. The bull turns to go up hill but he is done. He rolls over backwards and piles up. Celebration time!!! We walk up to him and he is awesome. At about that time Shane and his partner show up. They had been chasing him since daylight up from the bottom. That explains why he didn't go back down. Those guys were so excited for Zack. They gave us a hand getting him into postions, took a few pics and congrats and off they went on there quest. Let me tell you, those guys are dialed in. We knew it would only be a matter of time before they would connect. Congrats to them!!. So we quartered him up and had him to the truck by 3:00 that afternoon. Our 10 day was over in less than 2 hours. We put a tape on him and he is 47 3/4 " wide with a rough score of 160. Even though we didn't get to experience much of the rut this time maybe next year when I draw :chuckle:. Thanks everyone.
I hope when I die my wife doesn't sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

Awesome story, that is the way to do it.  Congrats to Zack!!!!  Now what you going to do for an encore???
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.
