Jake's 1st deer :)
« on: October 04, 2009, 06:31:29 PM »
Well...he did it! Jake pulled the 2nd deer tag for Conconully and filled it up!! I was so proud of him. He had a couple jitter shots the night before but, on this one he redeemed himself. He shot her right behind her armpit and took out her heart and one lung..she did a nose dive. She was a really nice sized Whitetail with no fawns..which was nice.
But I'll be darned...There aren't any bucks there ;)

Very Cool! Congrats and cool pic too!  :)  May I ask where you found camo in the kids sizes? I have been looking for some quality stuff for my 13 yr old.  Cabelas didn't even have a very big collection.

CHSNGSTLHD... EBAY is a great place to find kids camo. Search for kids camo, or cabelas or another brand. I have found tons of stuff real cheap for my seven year old. The older kids are a bit tougher and not as cheap but there is lots of stuff be patient and look after the season.

sorry about the  :jacked:

He will be grinning for days and will never forget, that is so true. The big jacket he is wearing is his Dad's..he had to take it off for the gut job. But, the jacket under it we got most of their stuff at Joes but the new Holiday Mart and Jaegers up in Bellingham have some nice stuff. My 13 year old can fit into Adult Small usually is just longer than the YXl.

Congrats to the young man on filling his first tag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Nothing is more sweet than that first one.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.
