Sorry for the delay on the story, its been a busy week, as you can see life is very busy right now.  Not much of a story, I just got lucky and found him down in the river by himself.  We had been calling and bugeling for the past two days and got close, had a spike on Sunday come about 40 yards from me and four cows.  It should have been a done deal on opening morning, we got up at 1:30am, left the house at 2:30 and started bugeling all of our spots, looking for the hottest bull.  Well we found him so about 20 minutes before light we let out a locate bugel and there he was about 200 yards below.  We set up on a clearing, the wind was in are face, everything was perfect, except the hunter that came through the field and pushed the bull away from us.  But oh well, it worked out on Sunday.  I was heading towards home to help a buddy pack out his elk and decided to stop and check out a spot we hunt once in a while.  Sure enough this bull was standing in the river and down he went. We had to fish him out of the river, but that made it interesting.
Old hunters never die, they just stay loaded.
