And another.  I have an old 40's bus, and an old plymoth fury abandoned on my property up in Darrington.  They have been there for 30+ years. You can barely find them.  I will see if I have a pic.

Sorry TEX not mine to sell. Maybe you should hit up silverslayer for that cool ford with some minor body damage. The rear bumber looks to be in excellent condition.

can you imagine the look on people face if i was to drive that 70's model for around with all the bullet holes....that would be priceless....

55, 56, and 57 chevrolets are very very very hard to come by nowadays...well you can find them but the restored ones are going for a 30,000 to 50,000 bucks.... and you can find ones that are sitting in a pasture rusted out with a tree groing through the middle for 10 or 15000....if you look at the NADA blue book the price will actually go up depending on what type of tree is growing out of the middle   :chuckle:

That thing didn't have a motor in it so I'm guessing someone towed it up there after parting it out and rolled it down a hill.  The truck doesn't even have a rear axle.

My dad has a running/driving '56 four door for sale right now. He's asking $7800 for it. It's probably a 15 year old restoration. Definitely not pristine, but it has potential. I wish he'd just restore it and drive it but he's laid off so it needs to go.

I bet some of these vehicles we see that are dumped out in the woods and fields only needed a little work to get them going again.

i found what looked like a 1940's ford panel truck (wagon?) off in some trees that border an old apple orchard by riffe lake. probably back before they flooded the town of Riffe and Kosmos. i tried to take a pic with my cell phone but it was too dark. i really like this topic though!

I am sure some of these pictures could have come out of my Dads yard. His famous line was "it ran when I parked it and I will get to it when I retire". The best thing that ever happened at my house growing up beside curbside garbage (Dad never knew what we threw in that) was when the neighbor bought a junk yard and said " if you tow it to the road I will make it go away" We went from 23 trucks and cars on our place to 4 in just a few weeks :IBCOOL:. Dad had a fit but he never tried to replace them. He has been retired for 7 years now, and his #1 priority when he retired (1975 Cessna) is still sitting in his shop waiting for him to get to it. Never has the time but his boat 2004 boat has 2500 hours on the big motor :chuckle:. Priorities...gotta love em.

I found this old diesel engine laying along side an old mine road near Twisp. It has been left for dead.

I found this old VW bug along side a logging road today. It was hard to tell it was a VW. It even had the engine in it still.

If it's smok'in it's cook'in. If it's black it's done.
