i hunted the late archery last year and saw 3 nice bucks but 2 were whitetails, but i did shoot a cougar though. so that should help things out a bit

We are gonna need a story and pics on that lion!

man so a guy shoots a 4x4 on opening day and he got it jacked from him by another hunter and now he isnt going to hunt the area. So what your saying is that the hunting was excellent in the sinlahekin but you didnt bring your balls with you so now your not going to hunt an area you shot a 4x4 on opening morning. Man if i had to live like that id rather die in a gun fight over my deer. Sinlahekin is great area but im not hunting there.  :guns: :guns: :rockin:

72k5blzr- easy to say this on the forum but when faced with the same situation I wonder if you would actually hold up your end.

Tough when another hunter steals someone animals! I do not sit when I pee but I'm also smart enough to know the situation is bad and someone will lose out. I would just report them to game enforcement.

you fellas are welcome to live your lives anyway you like. No ego nothing to prove. Your right its an easy thing to say. Works both ways. My original point as uneloquently as i may have put it was too bad some poor guy had to quit hunting an area that had produced thus far cuz his deer was stolen, and he didnt do anything about it but tuck and run. Thats all.

and reaper dont put words in my mouth or quote me bro. The word trigger or pulling a gun on anyones isnt in any of my posts those are your words. I said id rather die in a gun fight over my deer. I didnt say id pull a gun on someone or start shooting. Im just not leaving without my deer. if its my deer and im right im not accepting walk away. you can. this has nothing to do with ego. its right and wrong and im not afraid to stand up for whats right or for myself. I wasnt trying to disrespect you for what happened i just thought it was a shame thats all.

72k5blzr, it's cool.  Didn't realize I was putting words in your mouth.  I got confused, I guess, when you said you'd rather die in a gunfight over your deer.  Everybody handles things differently and I did what I thought I should at the time.  I also believe in standing up for what I think is right and will take a firm stand when warranted. But, in that instance, I didn't think It was a smart thing to keep pursuing considering what could happen.  Best of luck this year.

My sister's father in-law had this happen to him in the Clockum once. He got in face to face with the two hammerheads that were stealing his bull.  They raised up their rifles in a same way. He gave a good piece of his mind and then turned to leave knowing they would lower their weapons at which time he pulled his concealed 38 whipped around, charged in very aggressively, screaming for them to get on the ground. He took the bolts from their rifles and shot 3 rds into the hind qtrs of the bull. As he left he told the two jerks that he was going to turn the bolts in at the game check station. He told the warden what had happened (leaving out the 3 rds into the hind qtrs) and gave him the bolts to the two rifles. The two bolts never were picked up.

Because of things like this, I shoot IPSC once a month to keep my pistol handling skills sharp. I carry a Kimber 45 ACP Officers Compact (Royal Carry).

im with you brother. we arent cowboys and this isnt the wild west but if you dont exercise your rights you lose them and if you dont stand for something you fall for anything. Good for your sisters father in law i bet thats the last time those 2 guys stole an animal.
