One more week til my Idaho elk hunt
« on: October 06, 2009, 01:19:46 PM »
I leave for Idaho in a week for teh October 15th opener.  Reading all the stories on here about other members hunts is getting me very excited.  Can't wait to get out and actually hunt.  My hunting partner said there was a foot of snow last weekend at our camp site.  It would be very nice to have a bull in the freezer before my hunt here.

No thread is comlete without a few pics.  Here are some pics of previous years hunts that I had on this computer.  We have hunted basically the same area for 12 years.  This will be the 13th.  The first pic is 10 - 15 -2004.  The next 2 pics are 10-1-2005. ( The camera date is wrong).

Good Luck...I have a little over 2 weeks before I head to Idaho.  Doing the General season 11/1-11/9.  Hoping this weather continues for a bit, as we need those elk movin' !

Last year was pretty bad, and didn't see hardly any animals.  But we keep at it and hope our luck is going to change this year.

Great job on your hunt. It's been a few years since I hunted Idaho, but I sure love it there.

Congrats, good eating for the freezer!
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

Congrats on your bull as well sometimes I wish we had horses to pack.  Now I can't wait for the Washington hunt!  I've got meat in the freezer so I can be patient and hold out for a nice one.
