Are you allowed to hunt cougars with dogs? My dad was saying that about 10 years ago he thought that they banned hunting cougars with dogs... was that a proposal? Did it get passed or turned down, or was it passed and then later taken back?

If i remember correctly, there are only special hunts that you have to draw to be able to use hounds. Everything else is on your own. Find a kill and sit on it.

hound hunting is by special permit only. If you want to hunt cougar in this state you should read the regs first.

Good luck hope you get one.
