Deer  200's 187 miles, 4 1/2 hours
Elk    300's  168 miles, 4 or so hours
Anybody else have trouble getting to sleep on that Friday before deer season?

4 hours to the cabin at 196 miles and then 15 minutes to where i park and start walking
You will never kill a big one if you spend all your time draging out little ones

Agreed....but 2 seasons ago that turned into a 3am bedtime and the 5am wakeup came way to quick :'(

240 miles to the trail head and about 4 miles from there.

Out the door, 2 minutes to gravel, 6 minutes to the gate, 25 minute bike ride and a 5 minute walk.

And somehow I always seem to be running late.

Looks like the majority of you will be traveling a ways. I always get more excited about a hunt when camping is involved.

288 miles for the first leg to Newport (GMU 113) for 3 days hunting late buck over there and then on to Libby, MT (3 more hours) for 15 days of deer and elk.....32 days!!!!  Going to be hunting HARD for a bull this year and shoot a deer along the way.
