Holy bugling bulls!! (added another)
« on: October 09, 2009, 11:03:23 PM »
Some shots from last week all but one from GTNP.  I'd hoped to get some bugling shots on the trip.  I am pretty happy.   ;)

Added another one that I just found,#4 in the group.

First the herd bull in the snow from my other post.

Herd bull #2.  He was pretty much ruling the meadows.

Herd bull #3, adjacent to #2 in a side meadow.  He looks like an older and heavier bull.

These two boys were hanging in the periphery!  Geez, good competition I'd say.

Willows bull.  We went in after 'em and had a blast at close range.  Looks like this guy lost the fight and some antler!!

Willows bull #2.  Nice sized, he ought to be competing well next year!!  He put on a good show before crashing off.

Finally, el lonely bull.  Singing his forlorn song as he snoozes.

Enjoy!!

Awesome photos.  It just does not get much better than that, for excitement, adrenalin rush, and beauty.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Thanks Hunt!  You pretty much summed up my feelings.  Getting in close with them was exactly that.

OUTSTANDING PICS.  That last one is real unique for sure.  The others all have something cool about them though.  Glad we are getting some shutterbugs on here.  Thanks for posting.

Thanks Ricochet, yes we had a great trip.  Believe it or not, I really didn't get to spend that much time out of the whole week on animals.  My traveling partner is a pro landscape guy and we spent most mornings and evenings finding good landscape shots.  Though toward the end of the trip he was really wanting a long telephoto for his digital camera.   :)
