The owner is nice. I wouldn't really call it hunting but its a decent place to train if he has birds. Ask Sonny on Upland Journal about it since you already know him. I believe he is friends with the owner.

Jim is the owners name give him a call. He is a standup guy that will help you and your dog. He will walk along with you giving you tips to make you and your dog better, one heck of a dog trainer. My 12month old gsp wasnt retreiving the birds and after about 20 min of working with her she was, and has ever since!

I live in Bellingham and have heard some good things about the Acme club. I have not hunted there yet, I have been living here about 18 months and I am starting to get out to blast and cast. My 8 year old GSP is ready and has been for quite some time. Let us know how it goes at Acme. I would also be interested in a joint venture one weekend. My GSP is starting to get fat and so am I. I've known Jimmy 20 years,he's all over the map at times with the getting ahold of him,it's pen raised bird hunting,I consider it dog training and killing ,it's a controlled enviornment and he always has good birds that are preserve quality, not field trial clunkers that won't fly or don't fly far enough. For those who are above pen raised bird hunting he has alot of ruff grouse spots that will test your mettle,he hunts alot of grouse and is a crack shot at birds that weave in and out of trees and through brush and blackberry tangles.his preserve hunts guarantee that you are alone without half two counties trying to cork you,the cover is realistic and your dog has to hunt them,so even though someone may not call it hunting per se,the dog is hunting. Here's a picture of what his cover looks like and a picture of him gunning for my dog.

Bottom pictures are of another pup of mine at his place, one at 1 year old and the other at 12 weeks old on a bird intro/gun intro mission
