Fog Prevention
« on: October 11, 2009, 09:10:40 PM »
What do you guys use to prevent fog on the outer lenses of your optics?  I got some wipes from Cabala's but they didn't work for squat.  Lasted 15 minutes and made it worse >:(.  Any suggestions are appreciated.

Call the manufacturer for ideas.
There is a product called Cat Crap that is a coating for eyeglasses.
Not sure I'd trust it on high end optics.

Lemon Pledge  :o

The small can of Lemon Plede will fit in yu glove box. Clean once a day r ad needed to reduce fogging.

I learned this from a Optmatrist.

Worked good for glasses.

Lemon Pledge huh?  Sounds interesting, but I would be concerned about the scent it puts off for my carry binos.  Thanks for the tip I might give this a try for my truck binos  :)

The scent does not last long.

I used Op Drops from McNett that were issued to me for my trip to Iraq.  It worked great even with 96% humidity.  Their website is www.mcnett.com  I still use it with no troubles.
