this is a looooonnnggg week man. i went up to my spot and saw 7 deer in the first 15 min. watched them for about a hour until they left, did some prep work to the spot I'm gonna sit and backed out of there nice and quiet. i cant wait, 2 miles from the nearest drivable road and the deer are doing the same thing they were doing last year. its going to be a good one. elk is coming fast too. and ive got a big one located that no one knows about

nothing worse then forgetting the bino's at home.

i have to buy a second pair, my parents only have cheap big5 bino's and they SUCK!!!. so i figure ill buy another pair a mid range bino's and give them my big pair.

now to just decide on which to buy.

Woohoo! Plans have been made for next week. I love having days off during the week. My buddy is hunting this weekend, so he should have a good idea of where they might be.

I'm packed, the truck is loaded, and all that is left is to throw the food in the cooler's and head out in the morning. 4:00 am can't come soon enough. It's going to be a long day today.

Be safe guys and gals. It's gonna be cold in spots, be prepared and watch your steps! I am excited to come back and read all the success stories (whether they involve filling your tag or not).

Cheers and good luck!

Packing up the truck tonight. Spending the night at the mother-in laws up in Newport. Gonna be at "The Spot" and set up about 15 min. from daylight. Gonna let the wife try for one. Taking the 13 yr old nephew along so he can get the taste for it. Plenty of orange all the way around! Be safe out there folks.
