CRKT & SOG Knives

Anyone any experience with knives from these companies? I am looking for a knife to put on my pack with easy access to. Was looking at the Kommer I.F.B. from CRKT and Seal Pup from SOG.

i have had several CRKT knives that fell apart on me, i use benchmade now and they are great.

I had a SOG Seal Pup.  It was a good knife, but I didn't like the way it fit in my hand so I gave it to my brother.  CRKT makes their stuff in China, so I don't buy it.  I have 2 Benchmades that I love,  They get real sharp, stay sharp, and were used every single day for a year in Iraq.  Top quality.

i have had several crkt knives fell apart on me.....junk.... bought a benchmade best money spent also made in the good ole USA!

The SOG seal pup is a good knife.  I've had mine for a few years now and hasn't let me down. They also have several options for sheaths to fit your needs. I have the sheath that also fits my leatherman on it. Not to heavy on the belt.  They're also a local company.

real happy with my SOG Seal Pup, one piece blade with sheath. I have a Bladetech folding too in the outer pocket of the same SOG  sheath. Two knives real accessible right there on my belt.
The SOC multi tool is great to have along as well.

I had a crack that developed somehow on the SOC multi tool a few years ago. Took it up to lynnwood location at the time (if SOG is still located there). They took one look, went in the back and came out with a brand new one to replace my old one. That's service, quality and care in their products. Bought the SOG seal pup a couple years ago, blade is still razor sharp but I maintain it that way diligently.

While in the navy I carried nothing but a SOG SEAL, and I still keep one in my pack. They are great tools that you can rely on when things go south. They also hold an edge very well.
