Here's my grandpa's deer from 1963.  He told me he shot it in 1963 in Harper Valley Oregon.  He measured it today and it goes 37.5" wide.  It has a cheater on the the deers left antler and double eyeguards on both sides.  A truly unique deer.  I hope I'm not letting the cat out of the bag on the location so tons of hunters will be there next year...   :P

There's probably a shopping mall there now.

Here is a pic of my grandad from the 70's, the Black and white was from a big buck contest in Carson City, Nevada and the color pic was from Beaver ,Utah.  In the 60's and 70's my family would all gather in Beaver, Utah for Deer season. There would some times be 30 people in our camp . 2 deer per hunter ,the hunters usually took a buck and a doe and the doe was usally eaten at camp during the 2 weeks we were there.

So I have an old black and white photo that was taken in Colorado back in the 50's. The photo shows two bucks that have there horns locked together.  Both of the bucks are 210"+ muleys.  My Family took some photos tried to shoot off one of the horns that was unsuccessful so they sawed off one of the antlers to free the bucks. We still have the antler on the wall with the bullet hole in it.  As the family story goes they were not big enough to shoot (not kidding).  I just sit there and shake my head as I have never seen a buck as big as either in the photo and the detached antler would be close to WR if the right side was a match.

Net time I go to Colorado Ill make a copy of the picture for everybody it is unreal. As is the antler.

part of it might be the high percentage of people tha used to smoke. smoking knocks out unger a little bit. ironheads granddad still has his smoke in is hand.
