Maybe I'm just too poor.  I have a hard time justifying the $23-$26 a box compaired to the Bi-Mart weekly specials...$10.49 for faststeel #2 in 3".

I'll tell you, I am in the same boat this year, not really being able to justify it....but I still had a box from last year and I was reminded today when a straight on shot at 45 yards folded a mallard dead in the air.  I heart BC.

Sports Authority = No.
Walmart Lynnwood = No
Walmart S. Everett = No.
Walmart Tulalip = Yes!

Thanks for all the replies.  I’ve not had much luck getting clean kills on pheasants with Kent, they hit the ground running need a follow up shot and I’ve lost a couple of birds.  I switched over the Win X-pert and they seem to do a better job.  The X-perts did well on ducks yesterday too.

Maybe the BC isn’t any better but I picked up a box of 3” BB for geese so I’ll find out for myself.  $22 a box, but if I only have to shoot the bird once and not twice, it’s worth it.

what size shot have you been using on the pheasants? I use #4 and have no problem folding them up. what choke tube are you using.

3" Kent #2 - Modified choke

I switched to 2 3/4" Win X-pert #4 with an IM (different gun) and improved the situation.

the 2 3/4 Winchester Xpert BB fly at 1550 fps and work great on geese and ducks... and are $10 a box, sometimes cheaper at the White Elephant.

i tried them a bit. I think they cut through the ducks a little better, but not worth double the price.

I did a material comparison if anyone wants to see

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.
