1st trail cam Photo
« on: October 15, 2009, 03:22:01 PM »
Well I've been out for the last week and a half hunting bear and have covered near 35 miles on foot.  Sat in prime bear habitat for hours on end and didn't see a one.   I set the Bushnell out (just got it) 300' from my house in an area of no shooting allowed and presto, go figure.

Anyway, this is my first trail cam image.  The bear tore apart the camo bark I had set up on the camera.  Luckily the cam was in a bear box.

How old would you all say this bear is.  My guess it's a couple years old.

X

2-4 years old would be my guess. Isnt that just how it goes?! Cool first photo.

Are you a bow hunter? Maybe you could get it that way...better luck next time hunting!

Thanks everyone,

You're right Mark, I'm definitely hooked now.

saylean, yeah I do hunt with a bow (except this year I decided to be a rifleman) but this area is near impossible to hunt in.
