Hopefully we don't have too long to wait.  A sheep tag is the ultimate dream!

Long and short of it, did Corey tag out?  His shop is right down the street from my Fire Station, every time I inspect his business I get horn envy.

He did end up getting one with a rifle.  The one in the blurry pic was nice but on the first day it was smart to pass knowing the 172" ram that the older gentleman in the other thread got was out there so he held out.  A smart decision in my opinion.  We'll all wait to see what he got and the story.

this is what we know from pope cle elum bowhunter  i am sure he will post maybe tomarrow even

I'll have to swing by his shop when I get off in the morning.  I'm sure the boys there will know.

It's really not my story to tell even if I had one.  Coach will be on or send word when he gets time.  I'm envious as he has managed to hunt bighorns 3 more days than I have.

I was able to get an exclusive picture of the ram though.   :chuckle:

Well Corey just dropped off his ram with me and what an exceptional ram it is. Throwing score out the window this ram has so much more character than normal. His 10 1/2 + years of age (yes, I said 10 1/2 +) makes him a more desirable trophy than a 172 ram in my book. The stories that this ram could tell and the things that he has seen over the years could make your head spin. He will be the oldest ram out of 25+ that I will have had the pleasure of mounting and definitely the oldest on the mountain. I'd be willing to bet that he is in the top 5 or less of being one of the oldest taken in the state.

It was great getting to spend some time with Corey and his friends Dan and Chris. I feel like I've made a good friend.

It just goes to show that beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder and this is one beautiful ram. Congratulations Corey!
