It took me awhile to find my artistic side, I had to get a mirror to find it!!!

                                     Straining eyes peering
                                 bucks and does holding tight
                                      Winnett awaits us

I got the call today, PJ got her Montana buck tag today :IBCOOL:!!!! Talk about last minute....We leave next Friday!!!! Can't wait!!!

Frigid winter days
Lonely mountain tops
Private reflections

And I don't mean reflecting your privates in your compass mirror.

I'll give this a try, see if I can write one too.  How hard can it be?
Back in September, I hunted in the Swakane, here's how that hunt went...

Office work can wait
Deer tag burns in my pocket
Must leave town today

Road work at the pass
What on Earth were they thinking?
Other way next time

Cow elk in the road
High beams light her profile
She bolts just in time

Arrive in camp late
Moon rises from the mountain
Pitch tent in the dark

Two does at first light
In a draw at sixty yards
Great start to the day

Rain sets in by noon
Lightning strikes in the canyon
The deer are bed down

Best chance the next day
Buddy shoots an eight point buck
Deer jumped the arrow

Headed back Monday
With no deer from the Swakane
I'll wait for the snow

Well, that's a nice poem, no doubt.  You kind of missed the Haiku definition, though.

You boys forgot titles for your poems. Minus ten points.  ;)
I like them. Especially fremont's.

Go drive hike glass stalk,
Find trails beds rubs and horns,
enjoy tenderloin backstraps steaks mounted.
If it's smok'in it's cook'in. If it's black it's done.

Haiku? I just read a few. Heck you may have just scanned through.

Many are leaving tonight even though budgets are tight.

Seeing a big buck in the morning........well they just might.

A bear upon they will stumble and they will bumble with much fright.

Sitting around camp tomorrow night with calves and thighs cramped oh so tight.

Wish it was I except the law took rifle hunting away from me.

All hunters will have a wonderful opening day with happiness and glee!

Not a Haiku but it's what I came up with.
