mtn dew and ribkaWow you guys are lame! This guy tells a story about a awesome hunting trip he just got back from and you ruin it with this drama? MJ, Im quite sure has thick skin and really doesnt give a rats ass about your opinion. There are plenty of threads on this forum that already exist talking about long range shots. Go open one of those threads up and wine about it there. Meanwhile the buck is dead the story is awesome and you two need to STFU!
I like hunt wa site a lot. It is a forum and I think a forum means you can express your opinion. Served 8 years in the military and fought in 2 wars and have a permant injury because of my service. I think this gives me and others the right to express our opinions here.Am not jealous. Have over 100 posts on Hunt WA and this is the first time I offered critism other than griping about Obama, poaching and ATV's in restricted areas. Check my posts always the first to say nice deer to a guy that posts. I helped 6 guys on this site this year with deer and elk hunting info in my area. (I took 2 to some of favorite upland areas). I think it would be great if they shot a bigger buck than I did this year. I could care less how big the rack is on my deer is as long as it is legal. 30 years of hunting in US, Canada, Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan, no place to put all of my racks. Being a firearms Instructor for 15 years teaching law enforcement how to shoot and going through the Army's long distance shooting school where the wash-out rate was 60% and shooting competively at long distances in the military ( 1,000 yds with open sights) with some of the best shots in the world I guess would not prepare me for a 300 yd shot with a 15 power scope. I practice out to 800 yds but would not personally shoot beyong 350yds
