09 Deer harvest thread. Pics and stories.
« on: October 20, 2009, 05:53:58 PM »
Saw this on another site and thought it'd be cool to see one thread with everyones deer from 09 so we don't miss any. It goes so fast I know I've already missed some. So lets post up some pics! I'll start off.

Crummy pics I know, I forgot my camera. Had to make due with the cell phone.

My daughters.

This is fishyricks buck, shot in skagit county on sunday. The butcher wieght was 160 pounds and he smelled like he was already in rut. It was the only one he saw untill after he shot, Then 3 others took off.....One was bigger.
Just one more day

Mine and the boy's WA deer.  Third position reserved for Montana...

Here is a untypical buck I shot with my bow on opening day out on one of the Puget sound islands. He came by me at 25 yards chasing a doe and she stopped him at 35yards. he had a good size body and after butchering him I got 82lbs of boneless meat which will be made into pepperoni. Took him out to my taxidermist and he said that it was between 7 and 9 yrs old. All his teeth were worn down to the gums.
