I took a buddy out on Tuesday and he shot this buck. It was bedded not 50 yards from where my brother missed a 3x4 on opening day. I owed him one, he took me out when I shot my first buck. He was pumped.

My story is on a different thread. Opening day muzzleloader. 28 yards, shot it in the head (on purpose).

This is fishyricks buck, shot in skagit county on sunday. The butcher wieght was 160 pounds and he smelled like he was already in rut. It was the only one he saw untill after he shot, Then 3 others took off.....One was bigger.

160 how he looks in the picture with the legs on and the hide and head??

KimberRich...I helped him hang it and the next day after it was skinned we took it to marzolfs in snohomish. That was the butcher wieght..Honest. I know you can't really tell by the pic. but if you think I'm stretching it you can call marzolfs and ask about the deer rick brought in on monday. the number is 360-568-4748. He does a real good job on game. I don't care if you want to check for yourself. It's all good, but if myou think I'm jacking it up ....call him. No hard feelings.

Calm down. Not trying to jack this thread and not trying to prove anyone wrong and definitely not trying to call a butcher about it..  Just asked if you were talking dressed out or hanging meat. If you say it's 160 hanging meat it may be and congratulations.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that the bucks in the first pic share a common gene...

Here's my muzzleloader buck from this year. I was prepared to find a monster and pass bucks up until I found one. It was hot and dry and after passing on a small 3 and 3x4 I just couldn't pass this guy up. I was hoping for a Toad but I'm plenty happy with this one. He's 26" wide and just a 3x4.

and just a 3x4.

A big bucks is a big buck, whether he's a 2x6 or a 4x4.  You have a very nice mature big buck with great antlers.

Yeah, he's not a toad, but you're nuts to pass on a buck like that in this state, especially on public lands.

Good job BLUEBULLS.
