first year hunter.

This was my friends 2nd day ever hunting and she got one, i guess you could say thanks to me seeing how i missed this deer during archery season. Not to bad for her first.

I am jealous, my wife only eats meat from the store lol!

Good Job.  Looks to either be shot in the neck or throat cut to bleed out??  I never understood that but I guess some people still do it..  Either was it's got a sore throat!

My friend had to cut the throat cause she shot it in the spine

The story goes like this. Not to long after the got settled down in there makeshift blind they kept hearing what they could only assume was him rubbing his antlers on trees. This went on for an hour or so, then stopped. They hadn't heard anything for a while when all of the sudden he popped out in front of them at about a hundred yards. He had circled them going down wind of them and didn't even care. My friend told her to aim low seeings how he was so close. The buck stopped and she popped it right in the spine. So my friend had to get up and slit his throat cause they didn't want to go blasting off another 308 round at him.
