Hi my names Jay. Joined the site to participate in the coyote competition for Team Lamar. Still new to this whole forum thing but ill get it down.

I had been watching these deer for the past month or so. I hadnt seen the bucks for the two weeks prior to opening, just a bunch of does and a spike. I headed out Saturday morning with about a mile hike through seeded ground to get where i had to be, hoping that the bucks i was after had just remained bedded and that they were still in the area.

Well i got to where i needed to be and all i spotted was the does and the spike. Then i cought a glimpse of some horns, one of the bucks i was after was bedded deep and playing "hide and seek". I let one rip from the 7mm...hit in the neck.....movement......let another one rip....hit towards the back....then the deer took off. Gave him a little time then started tracking. Follwed his tracks through seeded ground for about 15min then came upon him.
