Unit 45 - Here I come!
« on: October 23, 2009, 07:04:42 AM »
Heading out in a few hours for 9 days in Idaho's famed unit 45.   Dreams of hog mule deer have been dancing through my dreams the last few nights..........I don't think it will really hit me until I am glassing from a knob at first light tomorrow morning!   I will return with plenty of pictures, and hopefully - Muley Grande!

Tough conditions on day one....really windy, had the deer hunkered down.  Passed a nice 170 buck at 120 yards. He was pushing does which is a good sign. 7 more days....

My law school buddy has a farm in unit 45 and we use to go down there and look at big mulies in unit 45.  I would see 180+ mulies.  Good luck and remember, I think the rule is if they don't post it, they can't complain that you trespassed...   :chuckle:

I was pumped when I saw a WA member drew this tag. I can't wait to see what you pull out of there. Have a great hunt and good luck. Take lots of pics and thanks for the update.
