Use the pause and play to go over the video.  It is marginal but not a total colon blow...

It looked like it slipped right in behind the last rib and the bear was quartering away. Probably caught the liver and one lung

Face it guys, if you want to secure the future of hunting and gun rights in this country, this is were we are going.  So I would be careful with the chauvinistic remarks.

Women and minorities are growing in status in America so we must be willing to have a more neutral attitude about people and get more women involved and what I've seen on this post would not attract fleas much less women to hunting.

Not saying to give up your nuts, just remember their have been entire cultures in the past were the premier warriors and hunters in society were women.

Name some.

Where are they now?

Why are they in the past?

Food for thought.

None of my comments were too chauvinistic and most were practical and to the point regarding the situation.

Like I said - I would like to have the animal settle still for a little bit before a shot. Especially with archery tackle. I think that bow4elk pretty much took the major points said it the way I think a lot of good archers that I know would.

Again - the fact that the animal went down with one shot is really one of the two the main points. The other being taking a shot when an animal is on the move or has not settled still momentarily. I certainly would not advocate shots like that on television though. Hopefully they come out and criticize themselves a little bit for that setup or explain the situation.

Didn't mean to step on anyones toes.  Were all on the same side. Just thinking about the future and security of the sport.

You can never convince people that we are anything other than beer drinking, crotch scratching hillbillies if we come across that way on a public forum.

Were are they now?  Do you have any Scotch-Irish ancestry.  The ancient Celts for one.  Queen Boudica and the last stand against the Romans.  She went so far to as to commit suicide for failing to avenge her people against Caesar.  Or maybe she refused to be a serf to a male dominated society.  Pretty big balls for a woman.

Are you serious with the last two questions, there has never been a great civilization that has survived. I think that people forget that we're a very young country and have plenty of time to fall. Be careful what you wish for. That is some food for thought.

Actually I (the woman) probably made the most chauvinistic remarks  :chuckle: but in the case of this show I saw a woman selling her body not so much selling good hunting.  I saw a woman getting a pass where a man wouldn't.  I prefer equal rights not special rights like the feminists of this country want.  She is promoting hunting on TV and should be held to the highest standard because that is where many people get all of their knowledge about hunting.  again the world is not run according to me....but when I rule the world  watch out  :chuckle: :chuckle:
