just wondering what everybodys opinion was about elk in this unit ive seen elk by the dam but lots of private property

It's the same thing as in the tree farm.  You're just talking about the border of the farm.  There are a few herds and lots of people.  Every once and a while you see a nice bull that's managed to stick to the reprod long enough to get beyond first year legal though.

It's probably pay off if you know some of the people with private property and can convince them to let you hunt it.  The elk know where the property lines are it seems.

Where at by the damn, Im about as close as you can get. Elk hunting here is realy high pressure. If you like hunting elk that have been ran all day long have at it. I dont hunt here much as the pressure really sucks, plus if you do shoot a bull, there is a good chance your tag wont be the one on the animal. :bash:

You'll need to be running to your bull after you shoot it so you can get your tag on it before some other yahoo does  :chuckle:
