Pour Slab SMOOTH,  NOT BROOMED finished Easy to sweep off *censored*. 40x15 and build Standard with Roof around the Slab. also before you pour Concrete make sure you dig out put two Barrels 50 gallon each with FULL of Round Rocks Drill Holes bottom of Barrel as 30 holes so drain can go thur dirty below and installed a pvc thur Lid of Barrel under the slab so to put a Drainsystem surface as where Concrete will set up so drain will go toward to two Barrels after you wash daily or twice a week. No Stinks....

Lot Cleaner that way! Also build a Roof above keep dry all the times and Size should be 40 by 12 or 15 Comfortable for them and Mesh Wire all around the posts. Because we live in WET weather.

Cut a Barrel lid face to make it look half with mouth open and turn around put sawdust inside so dogs can sleep inside Put something on sides of Barrels so it wont rolling over.

Never had problem with my hounds kennel.

Cost me Concrete, Metal roof  and some woods only about 1400 dollar.   EXPENSIVE but it keep your dogs Cleaner and less smelly.

What happen after I got everything together. My wife want a FAIR DEAL so She end up bought a Horse for same PRICE!  :bash:

Part of Marriage!  :dunno:  Now I have to BUILD HER A Dnam BARN!  :(

I change little design on drain system is different than this picture. I hope it help u better Idea.  Make sure you know where SUNNY can stare at your dogs. They need warm feeling during winter, fall, spring. Not keep them under Trees where Trees could Fall on roof cost more...

I already had this on here but you might not have seen it.......anyways its working out pretty well.

I just burried a 3ft piece of 24inch culvert and drilled a ton of holes in it and put some pea gravel in the bottom and around it and scoop the solids in there and just spray it off every day and it seems to work well.

it is 18x24 and I went a little overboard like always but it was probably around $2k.......you could do it cheaper probably half that.

Great pictures! I need to build a kennel. We moved to Chelan last year and I had to leave my perfect set up back on the west side. Right now I have four kennels that work for now, and the in ground containment system that has about 3 acres fenced in. I'm eying some of these for my spring project! Or whenever the snow is gone!
