Been a few there for years even before Garret's dad had his raffle tag.  If the state was smart (their not) they would allow that to be a depredation or "B" tag for any white tail.   But that would make sense and require an an additional line in the pamphlet.

Heard there were a few running around in Derby this modern season.  Buddy reported seeing a nice 4x4 whitey but to far to shoot.

The whities will take over if ya let them. It's slowing growing in the Methow. I have relatives over there (Winthrop and Mazama). I'm 53 now and when I was a kid hunting over there we never did see a whitetail. Not to say that they wern't there on occasion. Every once in a while you would hear a local say that they had seen one, but for the most part they were non existant 45 years ago in the Methow. Now there are quite a few in the valley. They hang in the bottoms and almost all of that land is private and most don't allow hunters.

i have seen whitetails in the entiat unit the last 3 years. this year 1 doe, last year 4 does, and in 07 a dandy buck. they were all on the same ridge. they are there. hopefully people will thin them out before they really take hold.

Ya, we jumped a few whitey does up near the top of Navarre where you cross over towards Oklahoma a few years ago last time we drew the Entiat tag.

We saw 2 whitetail does running with 4 muley does on top of Navarre last year during the late archery hunt.
