BIG buck of 09'
« on: October 29, 2009, 06:18:33 AM »
I'm seeing way more BIG deer being killed than the last few. I know of a couple big 170-180" whitetails and lots of Muleys from 160-200". Have you noticed the same.

I think it's due to two factors.... early rut and later than normal rifle season.

I've been scouting for elk and have seen some real good bucks for October, usually you won't see these guys till the first week of November.

what are your thoughts.

Also, congrats to everyone who's taken advantage!!

1) rut started early, and 2) the big whipe out of the late season a few years ago has now been forgotten with FINALLY 5.5 year old age class bucks filling the gap.  Should see some for photography this fall.  Looking forward to it more than anything.

I haven't seen that at all but it probably depends on where you are at.

WHY ARE YOU YELLING?

Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

There's two 200" muleys on here?
There have been some super bucks on here, congrats to those that shot them, or got the chance to even see them.
