want to go cougar calling confused

i'm a modern firearm Hunter. i won a south Rainier permit boot hunt for jan. want to head to packwood for some deer hunting and cougar and bobcat calling. will i be able to call cougar after saturday. and is it one cougar even tho i have a permit to sorry the more i think about all this the more i'm confused. want to stay in packwood at a motel. dont want to get my elk camp stuff all wet till elk season. I am one who is confused as all get out by these regs but the way I read it cougar season opened for any weapon along with modern deer and closes Mar 31 for all the gmu's I usually hunt anyway.  So I am pretty sure you can go hunt cougar if you want to....

Some places you can't hunt during deer season. Some places you can. I don't know the specifics on that rule, it's new too.

After deer season I think you're fine to hunt everywhere that's open, even though you have the special permit for after Jan 1.

But you only get the one tag. Can only kill one per year, whether it's the regular season or the special season.

I think the special permits were for guys who wanted to continue hunting after the turn of the year. Didn't mean you couldn't hunt before then with everybody else if you felt like it.

Pretty sure that's a safe interpretation.

that is not how you are supposed to relax 

have fun I am going that a way myself tomorrow at some ungodly hour of the morning......gotta get a deer or something......then have to cut it short to go work unless I get something down at which point I have the flu

Rick you might just be blowing to hard. If the bubbles in the bath smell like onion look around for RASBO.

your not the only one confused, they got it so srewed up i am going to be out calling in december because i have a boot tag even though the fish and wildlife sent me a dog tag
