388 buck
« on: October 29, 2009, 01:56:19 PM »
Saturday I finally got lucky. I only saw 4 deer in 9 days of early archery and 5 days of muzzeloader hunting but I finally filled my multi-season tag last saturday.

Congrats!
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.

Damn, I think Wildfire thinks you gut shot it (he didn't) because we took the pictures in the middle of gutting him.  Post up another one of the pictures I sent you that better shows the shot placement.

Great job!  Glad to hear you put that multi-season permit to the test. :)

Hey you look familiar. Good buck.
I don't know about that.  He looks kinda strange to me  :chuckle:  Just kidding bro.

Wildfire, yep, the shot was right where it should be and it was a short track job for sure.  Then again, it was an easy shot  :chuckle:

(We are not talking about the easy shot that I cleanly missed about 1/4 mile away and 6 hours before he tagged this buck)

He was quartering away from me at a trot and the shot went through atleast 1 lung and into the opposite sholder he made it about 25 yards before he went down. I don't have a picture that shows shot placement very well.

I spent most of the morning confirming a miss by my brother(yellowdog). We split back up and I was walking through an area where I normally see doe's and he ran right up the trail to me.
