Duck hunting near Spokane
« on: October 31, 2009, 12:53:37 PM »
Hey guys,
I just moved hear from Kansas and I'm trying to find some places to do some duck hunting.  I'm willing to drive an hour or so if I have to but I'd rather not drive more than two hours.  I've looked at some maps and some of the wildlife areas look good but obviously you never know until you go there.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,
  Matt

Unfortunately, the best Spokane Area duck hunting is around Moses Lake or the Tri-Cities, 2-3 hours away. The scabland ponds West of Spokane can occasionally produce, but the hunting is inconsistant and only until freeze up.

A boat helps a lot to be able to hunt water closer to Spokane in the form of the larger rivers and lakes.

Check out the WDFW website for more info.
