Hunting the Washougal Unit
« on: October 29, 2009, 12:54:15 PM »
I am going to hunt the Washougal Unit these last couple of days for deer.  I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction or a good direction to try?  I have never hunted it before.  I normally hunt up by Packwood.  Anything will help I just need to put some meat in the freezer.  Thanks :P

The are is no real secret and there are plenty of skiff roads to hunt. Go up behind Skamania Lodge I would tell you the road names but I don't pay too much attention. Get a map of the area and find the 2020 road....it is a good place to start. Also you can go up Washougal River Road to Dugan falls and either go right or left better to go right some realy nice clear cuts up there. Good luck

Hey Jeg, Ill tell you what hit me up next year when you have a archery tag and I let you hunt around my property I have several good bucks to include a hand full of spikes and forkys this year.  All the does you can think about. The issue is I will no give access to people with guns, to many idiots.

Got my buck up around Dougan falls.
The yacolt burn is in the washougal unit. I've got some good deer up there.
It's not true that I am good for nothing---I can be used as a bad example!!
