First bull! Family affair
« on: November 02, 2009, 05:07:12 PM »
I got my first bull on Saturday I'll give a little run down it was the wife and my brother I took this great spike down in a window of trees with a  5 foot avenue for a shot' that was the easy part then we spent the next 6 hours remembering how big a elk is! down hill still hard ( especially with the opening day hang over!) He is 25 inch on one side 24 on the other.

Congrats on your first bull, he will make some darn fine eating.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.

Nice.  Kind of like what they say about the worst day of hunting is better than the best day of work......well the worst day of packing elk meat is better than the best day of eating tag soup.  :chuckle: Congrats!
