Double Droptine Blacktail
« on: November 02, 2009, 10:16:16 PM »
I have been reading the stories and enjoying the pictures for about a year and have finally decided to post something.  I archery hunt elk, rifle hunt deer and love to fish.  I managed to get my deer on the last day.  I had never seen a blacktail with droptines, let alone symmetrical droptines.  My dad and I hunted really hard and got wet and cold.   I got home took a shower and then my dad called me and told me that this buck was with a doe on his property.  He was rutting like crazy and I got him at 30 yards.  I still can't believe it!

Cool buck man. I watched a BT buck a few years ago that had nice long double drop tines. Pretty cool you were able to connect!

I heard somewhere that a double drop tine blacktail is like 1 in 1,000,000. There was a full mount at the wild game dinner last year.  8)

Hey bud, it's about time you post on here.  That is an awesome deer, like others said I think you should mount that thing to.  I saw it at your dads place and the pictures just don't do him justice.  Good job on a great buck.

Hey!! you shot my buck!! That buck wandered into my yard a couple of times this past summer, running with a couple of little dinks. Then, The second week of rifle season, I saw him again, on private property near my house, he was acting rutty then, not swollen up yet, but just standing there with a doe and a stupid "shoot me" look on his face.
Cool buck.
