Yakima River buck

No problem.  In the field photo he looks pretty muley to me, the mount on the wall however, he looks more bench.  You can almost always tell by the tail the second indicator is ears.  Might have just a little.  Sometimes that isn't all that bad.  These bench bucks tend to put more into mass than tine length, and that doesn't hurt my feelings too much.

The majority of the deer around the yakima/nile/weenas/ellensburg area are benchleg bucks.  Some more mulie than blacktail, others more blacktail than mulie.  My dad and I have two on the wall next to each other that were shot no more than a half mile apart, if that even, and you would never guess that they were shot in the same area.

My friend shot a buck in Yakima with nearly a full strip down the tail. It's the "full" buck pic in my gallery. small pic and you cant see his tail but it's there

I don't know, that sure looks like a blacktail that wandered over the Cascades.        I can't wait to get back after them soon.  Thanks for sharing Doug.

most of the bucks ive seen around the yakima area dont even have a rope tail with black tip they have the blacktail tails to them being more whitetail like with black down the back and white underside, totally different than mule deer tails, these are the deer i always assume to be crosses

here is a little 3 point shot off the yakima this year...i know not the best pic in the world but i just got the cleaning call...lol.... anyhow he is all black tail..... just for kicks he was shot east of yakima and my buddy shot that bruiser out in the LT that was 110 percent Muley......as a crow flies maybe 20 miles away...... go figure...   oh yeah one last thing any of you ever seen an albino moose?  If not where would be the best place to put up the pics?
