Headed to MT in an hour!! Big Bucks here I come!!
« on: November 06, 2009, 10:14:27 AM »
I'm sitting at work staring at the clock dying to get out of here!  Leaving at 1130 for Montana for 9 days to deer hunt on my family's ranch.  Besides a deer, hoping to maybe find a Turkey, some grouse, a pheasant or 3, and some monster trout!! The term my buddies use is.. "T.R.E. "   Target Rich Environment.

3 of the 4 in my party drew Buck tags and the weather looks like it's going to be perfect.  Cold with a possibility of snow and some cloud cover.  The moon phase is good..  Everything is lining up great for a great season!!

Picking up last years Mule Deer from the taxidermist Saturday so I'm dying to see that also.  I'm holding out for a 5x5 WT this year.  I generally shoot the first nice buck I see then see a much bigger one later in the week..  So I'm holding out this year!!  Going to take lots of video and pics so I'll post everything when I get back.

Here's a couple pics from years past..

Wish me luck!!!

You need any more friends?? :)
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Good luck! I can not wait to see the spiker you bring home this year :chuckle:. I am also looking forward to seeing the mount of last years buck. Since you are not sure of the decor in the new place let me know if you need a place to store it for a while. The weather looks good, and the deer should be plentiful.

good luck man!  Can't wait to see what you bring back!
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

good luck to you over there, looks like you have a real good chance of getting that 5x5 that you are holding out for..
