So far so good.

I am back from Elk hunting for the day. Needed to see the wife and kids, and a shower. We have been in elk every day. On Tuesday night we spotted a Big bull 900 yards out and put a stalk on it. We were trying to get our buddy 250 yards to this bull. Thats what he was comfortable shooting. So 300 yards left in the stalk we took off our boots, coats and packs. Well at 200 yards we still had a hill in front of the us and the bull. Then 100 yards their was still a hill in front of us. Now we are getting nervous. Is this bull still here? We haven't seen him for 20 minutes. The only land mark we had seen the bull next to was a tree that was 45 yards away from him. We crawled up the hill to the tree and peak over the hill, and 45 YARDS away is this bull. He hadn't moved for more then 45minutes. My buddy with the bull tag stands up and the Bull has his head blocked by a tree never saw or smelled us. His 300 mag hit the mark and the bull ran less then 50 yards. Then Wednesday morning our other buddy gets his spike, and we still have a cow tag in the group. I am heading back up tomorrow morning and hope to have more stories and pics. This is the Bethel unit

Cool! Is that a Yakima bull? Good luck the rest of the season. I'd like to see a pic of the spike too!

Yeah, I know. I was being facetious.
He had Bethel as part of the story and then someone asked if it was westside...
