I just got done this for a customer, have to switch it over to the base that I made for him. I am federally licenesed to take in all migratory birds also, if anyone over here on the West side is looking for a bird taxidermist. I have a one year turn around, they will all be completed and returned with a simple base. If you want a habitat scenery or an out of the ordinary base it will be extra.

Hope you all enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed mounting it (just kidding there is at least 40 hours in that bird arranging feathers)

Really awesome job Joe. Looks like you have an eye for catching all the details. The feathers look really good, you did a good job putting them all in place. I can see that it would have taken you quite awhile to get them like that.

Well lets hope so. I am letting it dry for another week or so then going to put it on the base that I built for it...

You got it right on both occasions. I like how you did the head..Freeze-dried? Good Job. Turkeyman has good eyes..those spurs are how long? 1.25"?

Bone - Yes it is a freeze dried head- I had ordered a fake one got it in and was totally disgusted with it. Sent it back and ordered a freeze dried, looks 150% better in my opinion, will never use a fake one after seeing one.

Turkeyman / Yelp - The spurs are right at 1.25 inches

All in all it was fun to do, a lot of work and hours put ito it with getting the feathers aligned.

Thanks Charlie, I do not know about birds though, although I like doing them there is a lot of work in them. I am playing now with some fish. I will have to tell you a story next time we talk.

Well good things, customer came and got turkey yesterday, was super happy with it. I am glad that he liked it, but kind of sad that it is gone, was a nice little eye piece in the shop. Looks like I will have to go and get one this spring to mount up.
