Seems some depth charges may have been in order.  Seriously officer, I was in fear for my kids life!!!!!!!!!
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Yeah, carrying out a lantern may not be a bad idea. We generally use flashlights. I guess I always figure, if there are many trucks in the parking lot..you can bet all the best ponds are taken.
It's very hard to hunt with the pheasant hunters out there. I am not sure how to solve this one. We had dogs running through our decoys, one came into our blind...his owner was looking for him. He was running like a wild man!! It's kinda discouraging when they have no control over their dogs. Thankfully, our lab just laid their and didn't care about the dog in the blind. I could only imagine what would've happened though with a protective dog.
Then they hang out around the ponds screaming..and of course in bright orange. I know it's not their fault that it's the only place left but golly it's frustrating!! :bash:

I do feel for the upland guys though as they got it in the backside with property being taken away.  I have waited before making a venture there this year. Did they ever find additional property for the upland people to finish the season? I don't mind sharing and I also don't mind sharing when I go to the Samish. I always ask a group if they would like additional spinners and decoys, you would be amazed at how many people say yes to one or two guys.  I always approach the situation in sharing or calling names to shoot first.  i don't hunt often at Samish, but have met a lot of real nice people up there. I feel bad when young kids come into the blind and throw fit because they have been beat to a spot. I will always share as long as people are civil which think the majority of people are.

I thought i read that you can't hunt pheasant on the west side until 10am or so? Might not be much of a compromise for some, but at least it gives the duck hunters a good 2-3hrs before the upland starts.
