Nice goat. Welcome to the site. Last time I looked the WA. state record with a rifle was 54 2/8", Archery was 50 0/8" and BP was 51 6/8"..........I'd still shoot that one in a heartbeat and feel damn good about it. Congrats

The min. score to make the WA.state record book is 42 0/8 rifle, Archery 40 0/8, BP 41 0/8. It will make the WA. book and it would make a nice full body mount.  :chuckle:

48 4/8" would put him around 50 or 51 for rifle....not bad, not bad at all.

Thanks for all the great comments.  It took 13 years to draw this tag and Bumping Unit was my first choice.  Due to my work schedule I was only able to hunt about 10 days out of the 61 day season.  We saw lots of goats and some real giants, but just couldn't get to them.  I talked to Ty Brown from Rugged Class Outfitters and he was absolutely outstanding in his information about where to look.  Never did hire a quide.  I found this goat with a nanny and two kids on Timberwolf Mountain, where I hadn't seen a goat before.  He was about 100 yrds (straight down) when I shot him and then rolled another 400 yrds. down the mountain.  I tied him to the tree while we caped and quartered him.  I will be doing a 1/2 life size, coming out of the wall, walking on the rocks mount.  It should be really cool.  Does anyone know what place he may end up in the Washington record book?  He green scores 48 1/2.  Right horn is 9" long and left horn is 8 7/8" with 6" bases, approx. 4 1/2 years old.  Awesome hunt, I would recommend to anyone.  Feel free to call me if you need info on this unit.  Good luck in drawing a tag next year!!

Great goat man.  That is some incredible mass for a 4 1/2 year old goat.  Good genetics there.  Very nice and congratulations!!!

Congrats on an awesome goat!  Not a WA state record, but a great goat all around, no complaining with him.  Glad you were able to tag on the last day of the season.

Great looking Goat!  I believe that we might of seen him earlier in the year.  We were up there for early season bow for elk and saw several there.  We camp on the 1500190 Rd on Timberwolf MT.  Also saw a few goats out on cash prairie and out towards Burnt Mt.
